About TheDirtLab

Dirt

TheDirtLab is a wordplay on the phrase "The Dirty Laboratory", and of my black labrador named "Dirt". I am a PHP developer and I usually work on various code snippets as I go along. I call these scripts as "my junk" until I find a use for them. Since part of this website will all be about my experiments and tests, it's just fitting that I call it my programming laboratory, which is full of junk.

TheDirtLab is also my portfolio website. As part of the web industry, it is only proper that I make my web presence known. I have been a freelance web-developer since 2002 and I have been using PHP since 2003. My forté lies mainly in the field of server-side scripting with PHP and MySQL, although I'm slowly venturing into the world of AJAX. I hope you would enjoy the backseat ride as I run somewhat blindly while I learn client-side scripting technologies - that's what TheDirtLab is for.

So sit back and relax, and on with the show!

About Me

Chuck

My name is Rupert Chuck A. Cerrillo and I am currently working as a PHP Developer. I'm a resident of Zamboanga City, Philippines, which is located at the southwestern tip of the Mindanao island group, and I am currently working from home.

I'm an absolute geek when it comes to programming. I sometimes describe things in pseudocode! I'm also a computer hardware geek. Up until two years ago (2007), I've been very active in the local overclocking scene. I've pushed a 2GHz Intel Celeron to 3.3GHz, a Intel Pentium 4 2.4A to 3.2GHz and an AMD Opteron 144 to 3.1GHz, and that's just the tip of the iceberg!

My hobbies also include swimming, computer gaming and video editing. I've got a Youtube profile to prove it!

I'm an Alumnus of the Ateneo de Zamboanga University High School, and of Informatics International College - Eastwood.
